There is a growing network of support and social groups for autistic adults in Surrey. Some of these are funded and others are run by members themselves.
We are supporting member led groups across Surrey to help grow this network.
Below is a list of groups open to new members which will be added to.

This is a free group for people who are autistic and/or have ADHD
We meet in Guildford once a month on a Saturday afternoon to catch up and arrange other activities between us. The group organise their meetings via the Meet-Up website and people need to register on the Meet-Up website to join (does not require a 'Meetup Plus' subscription).

The National Autistic Society (NAS) are funded to support a range of free support groups.

Aspire Support Group - For autistic men and women over 18 who can attend the group independently. 1st Thurs of each month. 6.30 – 8.30 pm f

Aspire Support Group - For autistic men and women over 18 who can attend the group independently. 1st Thurs of each month. 6.30 – 8.30 pm face to face at a venue in Guildford.
Women’s Support Group - For autistic women of all ages. Meetings will be on the first Wednesday of each month 6-8pm. The group will meet online until March 2026, then alternate between virtual and face to face delivery. The face-to-face meetings will be hosted at a venue in Godalming.
All Surrey virtual social group - For autistic men and women over 18. The group meets online on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 6:30-8pm

The Autism Reference Group is a group that has been set up to give the opportunity for autistic adults to have input into the Autism Strategy and the work that is being done to implement the strategy in Surrey.

The reference group will ensure that the Autism Partnership Board hears views from a wide range of autistic adults across the county.
We work together to improve things for autistic people in Surrey.
The reference group will discuss a wide range of topics including employment, housing, health services and raising awareness.
Members can raise issues they feel are important.
The group meets 8 times a year. 4 are in the daytime and 4 are in the evening.
Meetings take place virtually.
Members do not need to attend all meetings and can also share their views by email.

Autism Support Group - Meets in person in Epsom on a Monday morning from 10am to 12noon. Group members discuss topics and there are also art/craft activities.

At the group we each check-in and, depending on the number of people, hope to have 30 minutes at the end to discuss topics chosen by the group such as masking, overwhelm, social anxiety etc.

This group is for autistic young women aged 18-35 years from the Surrey area who are interested in connecting with other local autistic women.
Group members chat about being autistic and meet socially with a small peer group.
The Group meets in Woking from 4.30pm-6.30pm on a Sunday once a month.
The group costs £12 per session (£9.60 concess

Support and activities for young people aged 17-30 with mental health and emotional wellbeing needs.
Step Forward groups are not exclusive to autistic people, they are for anyone who is struggling with their mental health. They are free to attend and drop-ins are welcome.
They run groups in Redhill, Tadworth and Epsom.

The Autism Trust host regular social events for adults with an autism spectrum diagnosis (post16 only) at their venue in Camberley.
Social group meetings include movie nights running from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and cost £10 which includes the movie, drinks and snacks.
